In our inaugural year with American Youth Football and Cheer, I would like to welcome all families to a new and exciting year. The Executive Board has been very excited with all the new and exciting changes that our children will experience this year. This move was the best move for our children, when our Board took into consideration the switch, we weighed all Pro’s and Con’s with the thought of the children in every situation. Hands down American Youth Football and Cheer, was the best choice for the children of Manchester.
That being said, you will not see major changes around the complex, what you will see are program changes. The same coaches and kids that have been around will still be here. Our coaches are being trained on all the new changes, and your child will definitely benefit from their skills. When your child steps on the field July 25th they will not see a difference, they “will” see a difference when the coaches explain all the endless possibilities we have, the sky’s the limit. We will be teaching our children the game of football and the sport of cheer, but in addition to that they will learn life lessons, for example: they can do anything if they believe in themselves. We will teach them how to respect themselves, their team mates and their opponents.
This is my second year as President, and last year was a great year, but I can not wait for this year to start and I know this will be my favorite, by far hands down. We are starting a new program, so everyone involved, Board, coaches, parents and the Children are all founders of Manchester Hawks Youth Football and Cheer. That’s so exciting, you can say you were there when it started.
I hope to see you all around the complex supporting our staff, each other and the kids; and don’t hesitate to stop me to talk. Our Board has had and always will have an open door policy, so any issues, or to make a suggestion on how to make this already great organization, better, we will be open to listen and talk.
We will continue to make communication a top priority, I think last year we made huge strides to improve this, but there is always room for improvement. We will continue to use the one-call now phone calls and emails and we will get out information to all coaches to give to you. We will also update the website as quickly as we can. Another way to get information is to attend our monthly general membership meetings, they are held every 3rd Thursday at 7:30pm (January – July & November) and 8:30pm (August – October).
Thank you and here’s to a GREAT SEASON!!!!!!!!
Renee Hourigan, President
